Note: The mood of the story above is a mix of hope, trust, betrayal, and ultimately, realization. In the beginning, there is hope and trust as the old woman seeks to regain her sight and believes in the physician’s ability to help her. As the story progresses, a sense of betrayal creeps in as the physician takes advantage of her vulnerability and deceives her. However, in the end, there is a feeling of realization and revelation as the old woman regains her sight and discovers the truth. The mood shifts from anticipation and hope to disappointment and betrayal, before concluding with a sense of clarity and newfound perspective.
